Mary Weber, Project Development Researcher

Mary has been part of Frederic Thomas USA since 2000. During that time, she has drawn upon her publishing and product development background to perform a variety of tasks for the company. These include the development of new product concepts, copy-editing, writing, fact-checking and implementing numerous research projects.

Mary began her career as a reporter for WBAY TV and Radio, following her graduation from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. She then took a position with Western Publishing Company and worked there for 18 years in positions of increasing responsibilities, advancing from an editorial position to senior director of color/activity products. In that capacity she directed the development of activity books, boxed crafts, audio products and puzzles. She also worked with major licensees including Disney, Mattel and Warner Brothers.

In 1995, Mary formed her own company, serving the creative/development needs of various toy and publishing companies across the United States and Canada.

"Working with the Frederic Thomas team is a true joy because we all have a commitment to creating the best product we can." Mary says. "We all strive to ensure that the products we create provide an opportunity for children and their families to have fun together — strengthening the family bond."

Growing up, Mary loved reading books and writing her own little stories. Her favorite books were mysteries featuring the Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew and Trixie Beldon.
